Claytigo is the ceramic practice of artist Dakota Miniter, a Colorado-local Artist whose work is grounded in intention, craftsmanship, and thoughtful design. Dakota’s path to ceramics emerged as they returned to higher education to pursue work that was both meaningful and sustainable. During this time, ceramics became a stabilizing and formative practice—one that offered focus, presence, and creative direction.
Through wheel throwing and extensive glaze exploration, Dakota developed a strong connection to clay, as both a material and a process. What began as an academic study evolved into a dedicated studio practice centered on functional ware. Claytigo emphasizes high-quality craftsmanship, with attention to glaze development, durability, and food safety.
Each piece is designed for regular use, balancing aesthetic clarity with practical functionality.
Claytigo reflects a belief in the value of well-made objects—pieces that are intentional, reliable, and capable of bringing a sense of grounding and care into everyday routines.
